The Story Behind LockHooks

LockHooks started with a simple introduction and a product that immediately made sense.

I was introduced to John, who had been selling these patented locking pegboard hooks for years under a different brand, through a good friend of mine who actually manufactures the product. After seeing the hooks firsthand, I immediately thought they solved a frustrating problem almost everyone who uses pegboards has experienced:

Hooks constantly falling out when removing tools, cords, accessories, or equipment.

The concept was simple, but incredibly effective: a pegboard hook designed with a patented locking mechanism that helps keep the hook securely in place while still allowing it to be repositioned when needed.

The more I used the product and saw how well it worked, the more I realized the potential it had beyond just garages and workshops. Pegboards are used everywhere, from tool walls and sheds to craft rooms, hobby stations, retail displays, utility spaces, and home organization setups.

After many conversations with John, I had the opportunity to purchase the business and begin building the brand into what is now LockHooks.

As a first-time business owner, this has been an incredible learning experience. From inventory and shipping to building a website, creating content, and growing a brand from the ground up, I’m learning something new every day.

LockHooks is more than just a pegboard hook.

It’s a simple solution to a common frustration, built for people who want their spaces to feel more organized, functional, and reliable.
